If you’re thinking of having a unique experience, a yacht party is right up your alley. A yacht party can be a great way to celebrate, unwind, impress or to simply enjoy with your friends and loved ones. However, it can be daunting to think about the meticulous planning that may be involved. With this beginner’s guide, read on to get some inspiration on what you’ll need to throw a yacht party that’ll cover all your needs.

1) Decide a Party Theme

First and foremost, you’ll need to determine what kind of yacht party you’d like to have. Whether it’s a birthday celebration, an engagement party, or even a small gathering, a great party theme can really elevate your party. There’s lots of things for you to consider when chartering out and a yacht concierge such as Chuhai Time can help take the stress off theme planning, yacht decorations and cover everything else required such as food, beverages and activities. In addition to this, deciding your party theme will allow you to choose the right yacht, which comes as the next step.

2) Charter a Yacht

Chartering the right yacht is the most important aspect of a yacht party. You’ll need to find out which yacht is most suitable for you and your guests. Thankfully, there are over 40 boats that are available to charter that can cater to every type of request,  according to your group size, occasion and budget. There are five main types of yacht boats to choose from: Fishing trawlers, cabin cruisers, catamarans, sail boats and luxury yachts. Not sure of what these boats are? Check out our gallery of boats here to get a better idea of how many people can fit in each boat and the look and vibe of your next potential yacht charter.

With Chuhai Time, you can skip looking through over 40 boats and we will recommend the perfect boat for you, normally giving you 2 to 3 options before finally settling on 1.

Typically, a yacht charter can cost between $80 to $200 per pax, depending on the yacht itself, the number of people and the number of hours. The difference in these prices are also dependent on the day of booking – whether it’s a weekday, weekend, or public holiday. The standard charter time is 4 hours but you are able to extend it beyond that period with some yachts even available for overnight charters.,  If you’re interested to find out more about overnight charters, contact us at www.chuhaitime.com/contact-us.

3) Plan your Activities

Once you’ve got that covered, the next thing you’ll need to do is plan the activities for the day. There are a myriad of activities that can be done during a yacht experience that you may even want to consider extending your time onboard to over as much as you can. Chartering a yacht with Chuhai Time includes standard activities such as double kayaking, stand up paddling, water games and fun floats.

However, it doesn’t end there. Besides these standard activities, other popular yachting activities include sightseeing, photo taking or simply relaxing on the yacht against the backdrop of the sea. You can even take a step further and incorporate workshops, team building exercises, karaoke, fitness classes, flower bouquet workshops and even diy beauty product workshops. Chuhai Time is able to plan out and conduct these activities for you! So just think of the general idea, let us know and we’ll arrange accordingly.

4) Settle Your Food and Beverages

Your guests will get hungry and thirsty and so, it is crucial to ensure there is sufficient, and even delectable treats to go around for everyone. Most yachts will allow you to bring in your own food and drinks without any extra charge. But having to lug everything onboard for your party will be a big hassle. Take your mind off this and allow for Chuhai Time to help get your food in, whether it’s to prepare for a yacht barbeque or to get in other catered food and snacks.  We suggest having finger foods, burgers, snacks and crackers if you’re not looking to get a full meal (but we’ll make sure every stomach is filled and happy).

5) What to Wear and Bring

As an added suggestion, it is recommended to have a comfortable dress code for your yacht party. This will determine what items you should bring and what to wear. For example, if you intend to spend more time in the water, make sure you bring in a towel, load up on sunblock and have a change of clothes ready, especially if the party goes on later into the night. Alternatively, if lounging and relaxing is what you’ll be doing, suggest something comfy for you and your guests that will allow you to cross your legs without having any wardrobe malfunctions if the breeze gets strong. But if you’re planning to have some pictures taken, feel free to be as extravagant as you want to be.
