Planning a yacht charter is an exhilarating task but also a challenge, especially when estimating the total cost. With a whole itinerary to plan, what additional costs are there to consider when charting a yacht?

The good news: It’s easy to grasp the basis of yacht charter pricing when we break it down for you. With a budget set in mind, the number of passengers, and the occasion, Chuhai Time can help you gauge the cost of your next sea adventure!

Yachting is not solely reserved for the rich, and it’s actually a lot more affordable than you realize. First and foremost, we need the confirmed number of guests that will be onboard the yacht. This way, we can accurately recommend the best boat to charter.

Types of Yachts

At Chuhai Time, we offer five different types of yachts.

The Fishing Trawler

With a capacity of approximately 10 people, the fishing trawler is perfect for traveling to and from islands like Lazarus or St. John’s. Starting at $800 for a 4-hour charter, that comes down to roughly $25 per person per hour.

Cabin Cruiser

With a wide range of these, the cabin cruiser is our more popular choice. It holds up to 15 to 18 passengers, depending on the boat’s size, and ranges from $800 to $2000 for a standard 4-hour charter. For each person, that’s about $120 for four hours of partying and relaxing!

Sailboats

Sailing yachts are a popular choice among boating enthusiasts. These yachts are known for their impressive sails that contrast beautifully against the backdrop of the ocean, as the name suggests. While these sailboats are comparable to the cabin cruiser, a four-hour charter for a maximum of 20 people costs about $120 to $180 per person per hour. That translates to approximately 30 to 40 dollars per person for every hour.

Catamaran

Mega Yacht

This big beauty puts the “lux” in luxury. With a capacity of up to 55 people, the luxury yacht is ideal for throwing bigger, more extravagant parties. Chartering this yacht comes with a heavier price tag. Prices start at $20,000 for a 4-hour charter. Through calculations, it would come down to an estimate of $160+ per head. In an ideal world, this would be a great place for a wedding or a business event. Chuhai Time covers event planning as well, so that you don’t have to endure the stress and worry of planning. Let us know the magic number (your budget and number of guests) and we’ll work out all the miscellaneous details for you.

These prices cover only the base cost of chartering a yacht. At Chuhai Time, we offer a wide array of services to provide you with the best yacht experience at the right price. From catering food to party planning, at an additional cost, we take on the duty of preparation and organization to deliver you an exciting catered experience.
